NewGens is a brand new youth associate company of HighRise Theatre; NewGens is a creative space for young multidisciplinary artists 16-27 to create, perform & get pathways into jobs and further education in the arts with multiple work placements, apprentice opportunities and support with audition technique.
Due to the COVID19 crisis, the New Gens programme had to come to a halt on 12th March 2020. Forever fighters and armed with the freshest hot talent from across London, we are now turning our unique practice, weekly workshops and 1on1 mentoring online!
As of August 2020, in person sessions have restarted where the NewGens can now rehearse their work together! This is not only a huge step for the NewGens to reconnect with each other, but a step in doing things differently for the benefit of our young people. Over this term, NewGens have been creating short films surrounding themes on politics, identity, and much more. Expect to see their work drop in the New Year.
The NewGens are (from left to right): Jack Boal, Lauryn Daley, Joseph Lindsay, Lesley Rietta Cobbina, Michael Mbozo, Nicky Rose Roshini, Che Campbell, Meshach Downer, Hannah Tarrington, Louisa Benotmane, Che Gordon.

To help really support NewGens we kicked off a crowdfunding page where we raised over £3000! This money allowed the HighRise community to continue and flourish.
