Executive Director
Janet is the Executive Director of Something To Aim For (STAF), a creative structure support organisation committed to bringing about change by authentically reflecting marginalised & under-represented artists & people in mainstream UK culture.
Janet along with the rest of the STAF team are delighted HighRise have become an Arts Council England, National Portfolio Organisation 2023-26, with Janet providing executive support for the organisation as they enter this new phase for their work.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Janet has worked in the creative industry as an administrator and maintained her own theatre practice for over 20 years before moving to the UK. She particularly enjoys building platforms and infrastructures to facilitate more diversity in the arts. Previously the Executive Director of the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong, she has had the pleasure to be a part of the work that gave rise to its growth and the creation of pioneering programmes, catalysing changes and even paradigm shifts towards a more equal, diverse and inclusive society.
Apart from working with STAF, Janet is currently working with Civic Digits. She is also a board member of Birds of Paradise Theatre Company.
